A Vision Beyond Borders
During the global pandemic, IPSYSO was founded in Türkiye with a vision that reached far beyond national borders: to unite psychology students through shared learning, collaboration, and purpose. On 24 March 2021, the technical foundations of this vision were established, marking the beginning of a growing international journey.
From Vision to Action
In June 2021, IPSYSO began its active operations through online events. At a time when distance shaped everyday life, the organisation created meaningful spaces for psychology students to connect, learn, exchange ideas, and take their first steps together toward a stronger future.
Global Psychology Talks: Bringing Global Voices Together
On 26 March 2022, IPSYSO launched Global Psychology Talks with its first international academic webinar focused on children and adolescents. Bringing together academics and psychology students from different backgrounds, the event created an inspiring platform for knowledge sharing, academic exchange, and meaningful global engagement.
OpenMind Summits: Where Ideas Found a Stage
On 10 December 2022, IPSYSO held the first OpenMind Summits event in İzmir, Türkiye. As one of IPSYSO’s distinctive platforms, OpenMind Summits created a meaningful stage where ideas, experiences, and perspectives could meet, inspiring students and professionals through open dialogue and shared intellectual curiosity.
The First National Assembly: United by a Shared Purpose
In April 2023, IPSYSO brought psychology students together in Ankara, Türkiye for its first National Assembly. More than a gathering, this milestone became a symbol of unity, shared vision, and institutional growth, strengthening the bonds between students who believed in building a more connected psychology community.
IPSYSO Azerbaijan: A New Voice Joins the Journey
On 2 June 2025, IPSYSO Azerbaijan began its operations with the acceptance of its first members. This step represented more than an expansion into a new country; it reflected the growing strength of a vision that continues to bring psychology students together across borders, languages, and communities.
Beyond Borders: The First International Project
On 12 December 2025, IPSYSO carried out its first international project in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. This important milestone reflected IPSYSO’s growing ability to transform its international vision into meaningful initiatives, strengthening its commitment to cross-border collaboration and youth engagement.
IPSYSO Indonesia: Expanding the Vision Across Continents
IPSYSO Indonesia began its first operations on 2 January 2026, opening a new chapter in the organisation’s international journey. Its first online webinar followed on 25 April 2026, carrying IPSYSO’s academic spirit into Southeast Asia and bringing a new community into a shared global vision.
